ADMIT:ALL FREE TICKET INITIATIVE
“If theatre is a place for dialogue, then all voices should be present.”
What is Admit:ALL?
Beginning in winter 2017, KDT transitioned its longtime Pay-What-You-Can program into the groundbreaking Admit:ALL initiative. We’ll provide up to twenty free tickets to every performance of every Kitchen Dog Theater production to anyone who asks, no questions asked.
The Admit:ALL initiative is an extension of our mission to “provide a place where questions of justice, morality, and human freedom can be explored.” The program is the first of its kind in the area, but is similar to other free admission models such as Radical Hospitality at Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis and Free Range Art at the Fusebox Festival in Austin. Since its rollout, KDT has provided over 650 Admit:ALL tickets with an approximate value of $16,250. KDT captured contact information from 87% of Admit:ALL users and, of those patrons, 60% were first time KDT attendees.
